I remember being in my late 20s and thinking to myself, I don’t need to be married to eat of nice dishes. So off I went and bought my fine china that all my friends were registering. When it came time for hubs and I to get married we had acquired quite a bit of nice grown up things so our registry looked very different from our parents I would assume. As people are getting married at a later age the things we want to buy as couple to add to our new life has changed. I have listed below some of my top items from my dream registry place, West Elm. I have included gifts under $100 and splurges such as my dream couch just in case you have a friend or family member that really loves you.

Engagement season is upon us in the next couple months so if this is in your near future you need to register at West Elm and since its wedding season now, you need to shop for the lucky couple here. They will forever appreciate your gift. And if you need to send someone a gift, I registered just for fun.

In my little corner of the internet the only thing people are talking about is the upcoming Nordstroms Anniversary Sale  but people, that doesn’t start until July 13th  (if you are a card holder) so let’s not put Christmas decorations out in Oct and let’s celebrate Amazons Prime Day.  Now this might be a little confusing to you since at least in my house hold, every day is Prime Day (sorry hubs) but today is a special day over at Amazon.

This year is Amazons 3rd Annual Prime Day beginning 6PM PST/9PM EST unless you have Alexa and she allows you to voice shop early.

Tips to Conquer Prime Day

  • refresh your browser every 5 mins. That’s how often new deals are posted until 3am ET on July 12th
  • make sure you aren’t in spotty service and you have the APP
  • Not a Prime Member yet? Sign up today and use the 30 day trial period
  • Go HERE to watch deals. Helps keep a tab on the ones you want.
  • If you miss a deal, there will be a waitlist to join

Expected Sale Items You Need

Leading up to vacation I had the best of intentions to make sure my house was clean and orderly upon our arrival. Well spoiler alert, it didn’t work out that way. We were running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to make it the airport on time. In the past I would have to come home from vacation and spend a full day (or more) trying to get cleaned up.  Not this time! My laundry was done, my dishes put away and my last minute work mail went out! Thanks to Please Assist Me.

Ever feel like you need a whole team of people to help you get through the day? I do on a daily basis. I became a SAHM because I wanted to be more present in my kids life. Being present to me isn’t doing all the mundane tasks that are time sucks though and seriously, does the laundry ever end?  Every now and then its nice to outsource some of the work to make time for things that are more important. Thanks to  Nashville’s  Please Assist Me I am now able to have more hours in the day (and a sink free of dishes).

I have assistants that help me run my blogging business why not have an assistant that helps with those tasks that make your house run and your family happier? In fact, it wasn’t until recently that I never knew how much my husband secretly hated coming home to a sink full of dishes. Seriously, he never said anything and since all my kids do is eat all day I was never concerned with it. Well he made a comment and apparently his love language is a clean kitchen and voila, all fixed.

So do you have a task list a mile long and need an extra set of hands, but not quite ready for the sister wife yet? Check out below all the things Please Assist Me will help you with (and if not listed, just ask they are so very flexible)

  • Groceries Delivery

  • Groceries can be ordered directly through their website. And you can get as specific as you want because they offer organic, gluten-free, dairy-free options. And they even deliver wine!

  • Dry-cleaning

The dry cleaner that is closest to my house doesn’t have a drive through and with 2 kids in 5 point harnesses I strongly suggest to my husband that he doesn’t wear clothing that needs to be dry-cleaned because of the inconvenience of drop offs. Well until now because they pick up from your house and drop off, then return it the next week at your weekly appoint and for only $2.25 per item.

  • Laundry

  • My youngest daughter changes clothing 7 times a day and I’m not even exaggerating. She spills food on purpose to be able to put a new dress on. Im drowning and can never get my head above water. Lets not even talk about hanging clean clothes up. The bedroom closest to our laundry room is a staging area for the clean clothes. Well they have these great bag that you fill up and they wash, fold, and hang all depending upon how you want your laundry done. At $15 per bag (huge bag and can fit so much) it is a service worth its weight in gold.
  • Mail

  • I run two businesses from my house and used to have to hit up the post office a couple times a week. And our adorable little post office takes an hour lunch break during they day which just so happens to be the only time I need to go. Ha. Well now just pay for postage! They provide envelopes and boxes and you don’t even have to worry about packing, they do that too! I just left mail in the basket next to laundry and away it went.
  • Dishes

  • Oh the dishes. They will hand wash your dishes every visit using natural, plant-based soap and leave the sink looking like its move in day. I didn’t even have to tell them where  to put everything, they did it and did it well.
  • Seasonal Services

And more. Do you need something done not covered above? Just ask! They are so flexible to work with. Never forget flowers again for your momma. They wrap gifts during Christmas, delivery flowers during Valentines Day and more!

So my gift to you all is extra time. You deserve it and you need it. In a world where being busy is a bragging right. It’s time we all take a stand and chill out and do what’s really important. Relax more. Work less. But let Please Assist Me help you keep your house on track.

My girls turned 3 and 5 this June (turned being in past tense because clearly I’m a bit behind on their birthday party reveal.  They have birthdays a day apart (but two years in between) so naturally we still have joint birthday parties. And because I only have to throw one, I typically go a little over board but only because in a past life I was a party planner. I genuinely love it.  But this year we didn’t plan well. We were out of the country leading up to the party so my planning got sidetracked and rushed plus we got back and had days to put it together. So all of this to say I slacked big time, but guess what my girls thought it was the best one yet. See birthdays are for me, not them.

They don’t quite understand birthdays and know that they have a voice in the theme so until then, Im planning it as I want and as soon as they start begging for cartoon birthdays we will just stop celebrating. Kidding. Kinda.

So this years theme is “Let’s Flamingle”

If my girls take away any of the wisdom I bestow on them I want them to know to never blend in. I want them to see their value and see what I see. So while everyone else is off being pigeons I want them to be a flamingo.

“be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons”

Just so happens flamingos are everywhere which also makes that much easier to pull off in days. We decided the easiest place to have it would be at our neighborhood pool. That way we don’t have to worry about entertainment or cleaning up for days. Plus when I saw this invitation from Minted I knew it was the one.

Next up decor. I am a DIYer at heart so this broke my heart to do, but most came straight from the Internet.

I knew I wanted these flamingo drink holders because kids would love them, plus they made cute party favors and I want them for future pool days. These are still played with daily in my house and you can’t beat the price. And what is a pool party without beach balls.

These were also something I bought knowing I could use again because of the colors. 16 of $10 too is a great deal.  Purchase here

If you get this banner, don’t leave it to the last minute. Its super cute and way easier than doing it myself and the cricut and actually cheaper than I could make myself I bet.  But its not put together and will need a few minutes. Buy here

Now my cake was a huge disappointment. What I went into the bakery with and what I left with were so different. But it still tasted delicious and we were able to have enough to feed the whole pool. Winning!

Now I did get told by one friend how obnoxious my forks were so id say thats a win. I figured I had to DIY something.

These palm leaves went perfectly with the pink table cloth we laid down on the pool tables. Then of course what kind of party is complete without yard flamingos.

Earlier this month was Nashville Fashion Week.  I didn’t attend this year but I have updated my bucket list to attend so can I ask a favor and will you hold me accountable and while we are here and Im asking for favors Im going to need you to come with me. ok?

I am relatively new to this whole Fashion Blogging Genre (hang with me, I promise it will get better with some more practice. ha) but I just can’t keep my favorite local shop a secret from you all any longer. Cotton Mill Boutique speaks my love language.  She has gorgeous, on trend pieces at a very reasonable price. Not to mention they are high quality and always changing. And don’t worry if you aren’t local, you can shop online or you can shop on her Instagram.  She will also set up girls night out shopping events or schedule a time to shop her showroom.

I have put together some of my current favorites below!

The Perfect Jumper

Everyone needs a jumper in their closet this season and this one fits the bill perfectly. It has pockets and pleats. So it’s basically flattering and functional. Not to mention the softest material ever. And this might be TMI but this doesn’t require a bra and yet still keeps girls in place.  Ill take any excuse to not wear a bra too! I have dressed it up and worn it on date night as well as business meetings and then dressed it down and worn it to street festivals and play dates. It’s perfection and can be ordered HERE.

I have been lusting over dusters this spring so naturally when I saw this one in a perfect pink with giraffes on it I knew it would be amazing. I am still looking for the perfect pair of jean shorts to pair it with along with a basic tee. Its lightweight and so flattering at the waist.

Black and White Stripe A-Line Dress

This will be another staple in my wardrobe this summer. I also got this jacket from Cotton Mill in the fall and its been a favorite of mine since I got it.

Basic Tee

I love tee shirts. I love to pair them with yoga pants or to dress them up with a sequin skirt and this tee is perfect for all occasions. It is looser fit which does wonders for my figure and has a cute pocket for a little detail. Im going to need this in every color.

Keep an eye out on my Instagram as I restyle these pieces often through the spring and summer. Head on over to Cotton Mill Boutiques Instagram and follow along for the most recent pieces. Also if you plan a girls night shopping event, I better get an Invite. Deal!? Can’t wait to see your goodies!
