Our Christmas celebrations started a bit early this year. But with it being 2020, this is totally acceptable. So we packed an overnight bag and headed to Gaylord Opryland to soak in all the Gaylord Opryland Christmas magic.

Gaylord Opryland Christmas
What Is Gaylord Opryland doing about health regulations this season?
This is probably the question I get asked more than others. So let’s get the business out of the way before we get to the good stuff.
- Limited Capacity: That does mean things will sell out quicker. But that also means you will easily be able to spread out. Wait times are long because when you purchase a ticket you pick a time slot and this helps keep things moving.
- Most of the exhibits are touch free and have QR codes to purchase your tickets.
- Masks are required both inside and outside.
- Mobile tickets.
- Lots of cleaning. I watched handrails and seats getting fogged every so often while we were both outside and inside.
- Sanitizer stations through out.
I Love Christmas Movies™
Now let’s get to the fun parts. After walking through the “I Love Christmas Movies” immersive experience I updated my resume to include my new found acting career. These are iconic movies from my childhood and being able to be on a replica set was truly magical.
Its a 20-25 minute guided journey through a multi-sensory exhibit full of fun and nostalgia reliving 13 scenes from the most iconic Christmas movies, including ELF™, THE POLAR EXPRESS™, NATIONAL LAMPOON’S CHRISTMAS VACATION™, A CHRISTMAS STORY™, and THE YEAR WITHOUT A SANTA CLAUS™.
This is a one time exhibit as they have already said ICE! will return in 2021. So you must not miss this years.
