This post is sponsored by FAGE Total Greek Yogurt. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Have you been spending more or less time in the kitchen this year? I am contemplating updating my resume to include “professional chef” after all the hours logged these past couple of months! What I have enjoyed is trying to figure out new ways to use staples we have on hand all the time by flexing those creativity muscles in the kitchen. I love sharing the things that are helping me feel my best, but I am also a novice compared to most so it needs to be simple. FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt is a staple in our home and below you will find a couple of ways we are enjoying it.
As you know, I don’t really love prepping food or cooking really. We are one meal type of family. Is being a minimalist in the kitchen a thing? We obviously have our own preferences but there’s no preparing different foods for each meal over here. I want easy, healthy meals for the whole family. But I’m not willing to sacrifice taste and fulfillment. I’m such a millennial. I want it all.
Now don’t get me wrong, FAGE Total Plain 5% Greek Yogurt is delicious on its own. But sometimes it’s fun to dress it up. Variety is the spice of life, right?

On the Go Bento Box.
One of the greatest life hacks in motherhood came while making lunches for my elementary school aged child. I discovered that when I went ahead and made everyone’s lunch at that same time, even though my youngest and I are still home most days during lunch, it helps me stay on track and not feel like I am in the kitchen all day. Seriously its life changing and takes minutes more. Plus helps keep the kitchen clean during the day.
One of the things I put in my oldest daughters bento box is FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt. It’s not that she’s picky. It’s just that she doesn’t prefer “traditional” kid lunch items and she’s my healthy eater. Couple that with the fact that she tends to be a bit chatty, I know that if I don’t provide her with food of substance, she might not get enough nutrients in during the allotted time. And I know how my brain works when I’m hungry and I don’t want that for her.
So that is her “main course” of her lunch. She doesn’t like any toppings on it, but will everyone and then add her fruit into it. The fat is essential in making sure she has brain food and the protein gives her energy all day. It’s the one thing I know will be empty when I open that lunch box at the end of the day.
Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad.
Rotisserie chicken is another thing we are never without in our fridge. So for lunches and dinners I will take leftover chicken and FAGE Total 5% Plain Greek Yogurt mixed together and toss it on a salad, wrap, or buns for a meal the whole family loves. Now are you team grape or no grape in chicken salad? This isn’t something my family can agree on, so I leave the grapes out until the end. I am all about the grapes in my chicken salad. Hubs prefers hot sauce. However you prefer your chicken salad, it’s very easy to customize at the end.
I am currently working on an after dinner treat recipe that will be perfect for these hot summers. I will report back once tested and approved by the kids. What I love about FAGE Total 5% Plain Greek Yogurt is that at the end of the day, when we forgot to prepare dinner, It’s easy to grab some ingredients from the fridge and make dinner we feel good about feeding our family. There are so many ways to enjoy it that you are bound to come up with something.
