Tips to Creating A New Everyday Morning Routine

Sponsored by Alive! Multivitamins

Mornings can be rough, right?  Especially if you are not an early bird like myself.  I’m still trying to convince my husband that women need more sleep than men. Until they extend the day to include 30+ hours it is imperative that I overcome my need for sleeping in and become an early bird.

Starting kindergarten has been a bit of an adjustment for us all.  We used to kind of just all roll out of bed when we were ready. Since starting Kindergarten my daughter has come into my room more times than not fully dressed at 6:30am to find me deep asleep. I’m talking shoes, jacket, the whole works. All of this done without an alarm clock too. How do I turn back my internal clock to that of a 6 year old?

I truly feel that children were placed in our care to make us better people. How can we be harping on things to our children when we aren’t living by example. From the moment I am woken up by my 6 year old I am on the go. Breakfast, lunches, school work, etc until we leave for school doesn’t leave much time for me to set my intentions for the day. Without intentions set for the day, the day controls me. I need to get back in control of my day.

Studies show it takes 40 days to create a habit and since we just had daylight savings time it only makes sense to utilize as much of this “day light” as possible so I am going to start getting up before the kids get up and owning my morning. This will set my 2019 up for great success if I can nail down this everyday morning routine.

Tips to Creating A New Everyday Morning Routine:

Set an Alarm

Until I can reset my body’s natural alarm clock, I am going to have to utilize a real alarm clock. Knowing my girls are usually up and at em at 6:30. I feel like an hour of me-time is plenty. This gives me time to have coffee in quiet.

Warm water and lemon with my new Alive! Multivitamins.  After tons of research I chose these vitamins because with more vitamins and minerals at 100% or more daily value than leading brands, it was an easy decision. Used as a supplement to clean eating, these vitamins and minerals allow me to make sure I am getting everything I need daily to feel amazing.

Alive!® Once Daily Women’s Ultra Potency formula is the most complete, nutritionally diverse once daily formula with:

  • 22 vitamins and minerals
  • 12 digestive enzymes
  • 14 greens
  • 12 organically grown mushrooms blend

They’re also packed with high potency B-vitamins to help convert food into cellular energy, Orchard Fruits™/ Garden Veggies™ & Daily Greens™ powder blends (80 mg per serving), and nutrients to help support bone health, cellular energy, eye health, heart health, and immune health.*

Contains No

  • artificial coloring or flavoring
  • gluten
  • preservatives
  • salt
  • soy
  • sugar
  • wheat grain
  • yeast

Feel free to also hold off on your Alive! Multivitamins and take it with breakfast.  I am currently intermittent fasting so I don’t eat until 11 or 12. So having it first thing in the morning keeps me from forgetting. But it does state to take with food.

Stretch/Meditate

I am currently out of the gym with a little bit of a back injury from trying to workout too early. I have noticed my body responds to vigorous exercise so much better at 9a than 5a. In order to get back into the gym at 100% I do morning stretches to awaken my body.  I have always struggled with lack of mobility which has deterred me from stretching. No one likes doing things they are bad at, right?

Set Intentions and Write them Down

What do I want to accomplish for the day? What tasks need to be done and how can I do things efficiently?  This list consists of household duties, errands, kids duties, work duties, and personal growth.

Coffee and Social Media/Reading

Now it’s time for my coffee. I literally go to bed thinking about my morning coffee time. It’s probably one of my most favorite parts of my everyday morning routine. It’s quiet and I have the ability to just think and drink coffee with the occasional scroll through Instagram.

I am then interrupted by the sound of kids coming down the stairs and it’s time for the morning rat race to begin.

We are all busy. So making sure our bodies run optimally is key. Thanks to Nature’s Way Alive!  Ultra Potency Multivitamins I know I am doing just this. I love them so much, that I naturally worked them into my kids morning routine with their Alive! Premium Gummies for Children.  They are gluten and gelatin-free (made with pectin) multivitamin that is sweetened with organic tapioca and cane sugar. It also contains:

  • 14 vitamins and minerals
  • A full B-vitamin complex to help convert food into cellular energy*
  • Orchard Fruits™ & Garden Veggies™ Powder blend (150 mg per serving)

No synthetic flavors or preservatives

Best part, my kids think they are eating candy after they finish their breakfast.
