Mommas, get your running shoes on. It is that time of year where we are running around crazy trying to make the most of the last days of summer while making sure everyone is prepared for back to school. Now is the time to get things organized to avoid scrambling last minute to find a routine.  From packing lunches, packing backpacks, and getting back to school snacks organized, there is so much to do in the mornings that I want to make snacks as streamlined as possible.

I like to keep their foods organized and down low in the pantry so they can pick and choose what they want to take for lunch or have for snacks.  With a little help from mom, they are learning how to prepare for the day and keep hunger at bay.

So today we went grocery shopping for our back to school snacks and I let them lead the way.  You all know how much we love Welch’s Fruit Snacks. Remember when we had a whole party celebrating the end of preschool. Check it out HERE!  So naturally, we grabbed a box of Welch’s Fruit Snacks– in Mixed Fruit (girls favorite) and a box in Berries ‘n Cherries (my favorite).  Have you ever noticed how many fruit snacks out there ignore fruit?  Thankfully Welch’s listens to us mommas, they’re putting fruit center stage. After all, the fruit snacks are not only made with real fruit, but fruit is their first ingredient.

Buying foods that can be eaten alone or mixed with other staples help limit our choices making mornings go smoother. Welch’s Fruit Snacks are good in lunch boxes, snack pouches, and my purse for those long car lines while picking up.  Welch’s Fruit Snacks added with a few of our favorite crunchies makes for a fun snack. This is my kids favorite and asked for daily. Of course, while I’m putting together this snack I also typically grab a handful or two. This holds me over until at least dinner. It is the perfect blend of sweet and salty, crunchy and chewy.  All the neighborhood kids will be running to your house after school.

So next time you are at your favorite grocery store, grab a box of Welch’s Fruit Snacks and make back to school snacks something you all will look forward to.
