I get asked so frequently for my Nashville favorites from burgers to brunches to Botox that I figured I would start a weekly column featuring a local business that has stolen my heart. First up, HAIR SALONS!
I have lived in Nashville for 8 years. For 8 years I have been searching high and low for a hair salon to call home. I feel like this might be my most researched project to date actually! From corporate salons to garage salons and everything in between I feel like I might have visited them all. But after a long time coming I can finally say I have found a place I’ll be going back to.
Local Honey: My Favorite Nashville Hair Salon
If you are anything like me, when you have free time (yeah right, whats that?) the last thing you want to do is spend time doing personal maintenance but it is inevitable because these grays aren’t dying themselves. So convenience is important to me and Local Honey has multiple locations that are open 7 days a week.
Fun story: Once when my girls were little I sat at a local hair salon (not Local Honey) with a newborn and a two-year-old for 5 hours because the only appointment I could get was during the week when hubs was at work so a 7 day a week schedule is AMAZING.
2106 8th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37204
2009 Belmont Boulevard, Nashville TN 37212
519 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville TN 37206
East Nashville is the location I go to! It’s close to the popular neighborhoods favorite restaurants, music venues, retail boutiques and coffee shops. Once inside you will also notice they carry a vintage clothing line as well as and a massive collection of industry-favorite Oribe and R+co products.
Now everyone I know that has gone to one of these salons has raved about their stylist but I want to brag on mine because I kinda think she’s the best! When making my first appointment there I was referred to Jossy Maness and am so glad we were introduced. I came to her in a hot mess situation and slowly but surely we are getting to where we need to be! Going from decades of dark to blonde has been quite a process and I am so glad she has been there to hold my hand and get me to where I want to be.
But honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Feel free to just call up to the front desk and explain what you are looking for they will point in the right direction.
I’ve shared a coupon down below because we all love saving money. Just click on it to download!
One last thing that made me totally fall in love with this Nashville hair salon was their motto:
“YOU ARE OK”
Meaning that no matter what the beauty standards are, you are ok and perfect the way you are. Something we should all try to remember more often!
