Hubs got back in town Friday and leaves again next week so wanted to make sure we had a weekend full of family fun.I scoured the Facebook events section to see what was happening around town and saw an event for Sevier Park Fest and our day was decided. It is a 2 day street festival located in my most favorite neighborhood of Nashville, 12 South. Mark my words, we will live here one day.
We loaded up the car, kids, and dog and headed into the big city from the burbs. The best part of street festivals is that there is something for everyone. Corla, our Boston Terrier, had butts to sniff, the girls had a kid zone and music to dance to, hubs had good food, and I had booze during the day, not on vacation and no guilt along with local shops. Not to mention always good photo opportunities. Visiting the walls in 12 South is a day in itself, that I am planning very soon when we are dressed for a photoshoot. Every where you look there is a wall that would make a great backdrop.
There was a kids zone with tattoos, kinetic sand, balloons, and so much more. Funny story, 2 years ago Brooklyn and I took this same exact picture. Clearly we are a street festival fam,
It started to sprinkle so we jetted but so glad we were able to get out and enjoy the day together outside. We will def be back next year! Hope to see you.
